| Welcome to The Elvis Presley Film Society website. Established in Glasgow in 1995, the Elvis Presley Film Society has strived to present a filmed record of Elvis Presley's life and career in a positive way. From his early guest appearances on television shows hosted by others - Ed Sullivan, Milton Berle, Steve Allen. the Dorsey brothers, Frank Sinatra - to his lengthy period as a major Hollywood motion picture star in more than thirty acting roles, to cinema documentaries on his 1970's In-concert period, to his spectacular Television Specials of the late 1960's and 1970's, and including the wealth of candid and outtake material available, there is much to discover of the charismatic figure who is Elvis Presley. Gerry McLafferty, President of the Elvis Presley Film Society, is also the author of "Elvis Presley in Hollywood: Celluloid Sell-Out" and "Elvis Presley: The Power and the Persecution" .
